Lisa: Thanks so much for your comment. I think that writing can have such a sense of power -- when you hold a pen or set your fingers on the keyboard...Whatever you're feeling, whatever you want to say or however you want to use that power, you can.

I love that you say it allows you to express your thoughts without limits because I think that's exactly what it's about -- more than an outlet, more than a form of expression...sometimes it's almost an extension of ourselves. I'm so glad that you feel such a passion or it as well, that's always something I love to hear!

Thanks for the comment and best of luck!

Beautiful post. I have always possessed a love for writing, but lately it has taken on a different meaning. It almost feels as if writing has become some sort of coping mechanism, one that allows me to express all of my thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc. without limits. I love it. Look forward to reading more of your blog posts!

Thanks to all for the beautiful comments. I think so many writers can relate -- sometimes writing isn't just a profession or an act or maybe even a passion. Sometimes it goes deeper, sometimes it really is a part of us, a piece of ourselves. I hope I could convey just what it means to me and I hope it can mean just as much to others as well.

Best wishes to you all.

This was very beautifully written. I'm sure that every writer out there can connect with and empathize with these words and these thoughts. A great way of exploring the emotions and actions of writing and how they are interwoven.

Beautiful as always. I feel the same way about writing, it's my lifeblood, and I love to tell stories. Thank you for describing this feeling so well!
