I agree that I think books will survive -- I think they are so deeply ingrained in our lives and society that it would be difficult for them not to be -- but it really makes you wonder what the affect will be on not only the future, but future generations who are growing up with all this technology at their fingertips. Imagine -- in just the past ten years our lives have changed dramatically due to technological advancements; it makes you wonder if there&#039;s an impact on intelligence there as well.

Good comparison to the DVDs and going to the movies...For awhile I wondered if books could be compared to the VHS, still around but rarely used until they become scarce and discarded. But yours seems more accurate -- maybe it is a matter of preference.
