		<description>Anna: Thanks for your comment (and all of your valued advice!). I agree, there&#039;s a compulsion to edit and I wonder if that&#039;s due to technology making it so easy. Though I do wonder if writing is kind of like playing a musical instrument in that your fingers know where they&#039;re going, it&#039;s just your mind that you have to worry about getting in the way.

		<description>My biggest struggle lately has been to write without my finger constantly hitting the backspace key.  It&#039;s so frustrating to not trust your own words.  But then again, it is like not trusting your instrument--those who are accomplished and practiced in music don&#039;t need to think through the notes, or the chords, or the lyrics to perform.  The same is true for writing.  And the thing is, writing isn&#039;t an immediate performance the way music is--so there&#039;s always time for editing and perfecting later.</description>
